Synopsis

Jointly presented to you by: SFMA , Asian Culinary Institute (ACI), SkillsFuture SG, Nanyang Polytechnic, Skills Future Festival

As at end-June 2018, the proportion of residents aged 65 years and over has increased from 8.7% in 2008 to 13.7% in 2018. This trend will continue as Singapore's population ages thus it is imperative to look into encouraging active ageing.

In this workshop, speakers from the School of Chemical LifeSciences, Nanyang Polytechnic will share insights on the critical aspects to active aging such as elderly nutrition and trends in recommended physical activities for seniors that enhance their active lifestyle.

In addition, the speakers will share on how to leverage on digitalisation such as the use of user-Friendly Interface for Food Labels to encourage the elderly to find out more about food products.
