Digitization and automation have created great impacts in the aerospace and electronics industry, so why not food?

Co-founder Alexander Hill of Senseye, a UK IoT software company shared that many companies are interested in Industry 4.0 [automation and data exchange], but remain baffled as to how it can help them. There's a tremendous opportunity to improve efficiency and quality. Consumers are demanding huge quantities of quality, healthy and inexpensive food, traits which don't naturally align, so efficiencies outside of the "normal" supply chain must be sought.

74% of SFMA's survey respondents quoted "branding and marketing" as one of the area they would like to focus on.

Hence, SFMA is putting together a series of bite-sized workshops to help our members through their digitalization journeys. This workshop is the first of such and aims to give our participants an overview of digitalization and how it can be applied to their businesses. Our speakers have also invested a great deal of time analyzing this space and would be able to share how these insights can be applied to the food manufacturing sector.
